“Committed to Serve, Promote Awareness and Enforce for a Safer Community” The City of Clarence-Rockland has enacted several by-laws to protect the health, safety and peace of every resident of our municipality. These by-laws are enforced by the Municipal Law Enforcement Officers through active enforcement. Our by-laws range from animal control to the maintenance of properties to noise control. The Municipal Law Enforcement Service strongly encourages neighbours to respect each other’s rights and privacy and to discuss any differences among themselves prior to involving the Municipal Law Enforcement Services. However, there are times when a simple discussion with a neighbour is just not sufficient. Any resident may report a possible by-law violation, seven (7) days a week, by calling (613) 446-6022 during regular office hours and (613) 248-9826 after regular hours and weekends. All complaints reported to the Municipal Law Enforcement Service will be investigated. Your name will be kept confidential, at all times, unless court proceedings are initiated. One of the mandates of the Municipal Law Enforcement Service is to inform and sensitize educate residents of by-laws in place within our municipality. In many cases, a courtesy warning is usually issued for a first offence. Subsequent or repeated offences may result in the issuance of hefty fines or court proceedings.
